San Diego County’s Historic Mountain Destination
…Where the folks are still friendly and the Country’s still Country
Housed in an original 1943 apple packing facility and cider house, the Wynola Farms property is owned and operated by husband and wife Albert Lewis and Lydia Frausto. The historic collection of buildings feature numerous unique shops, antiques, local art work, three different wine, beer and hard cider tasting rooms, a community learning and discovery center, and the weekly seasonal Julian Certified Farmers’ Market (every Sunday from 11-4). A new coffee shop, Wynola’s Daily Perc, is scheduled to open sometime in February. Nearby lodging, dining, and live music along with spacious free parking make us a perfect one stop destination. We hope to see you soon!
Autumn in Wynola brings the first taste of crisp fall weather to southern CA, where a trip to see the leaves turning colors and picking your own apples at local farms is a must, along with pie, cider and browsing our unique shops. Harvest is a busy time in Julian, with loads of family activities to choose from every weekend.
Winter offers the occasional dusting of snow, Christmas lights and decorations, wonderful one-of-a-kind holiday shopping opportunities, and many events for a taste of a real small town holiday season.
Spring is a wonderful time to see nature at its finest, with thousands of daffodils popping up everywhere. Enjoy the bounty of forest wildflowers as you hike, horseback ride, or just stroll about enjoying the clean mountain air.
Summer brings more outdoor activities, including Wynola Farms Marketplaces’ Certified Farmer’s Market, live music and special event vendors carrying local arts and crafts. Relax at one of the many nearby campgrounds or B & B’s, drop your line in beautiful Lake Cuyamaca, and show your visiting friends and family a different side of San Diego County.
